Who are we?

 

OUR GOAL: Improve the social and economic life of women through the promotion of Shea nut picking and Shea butter production and to enhance their social lives through social development programs. 

About

The Awonpok Women’s Empowerment Group (AWEG) is a group of women in the Wiak-Chiok community in the Upper Eastern Region of Ghana who are interested in picking shea nuts to either sell or produce butter. 

Project

-To increase the picking of Sheanuts in a sustainable manner

-To improve Shea butter production and selling at the local level 

-To provide social development programs
